A tall man with long dark hair, a rudraksha mala and an orange saffron garment walks barefoot along a narrow matted path, a person, while beside him a bald man in white dhoti and shawl with a white-bordered cloth walks with a cane. Behind them a row of men in white clothes stand with palms pressed together in namaste. Painted decorative pillars in red, white and blue rise in the background beside a row of small stone figures, and an orange-walled building with greenery stands at right. Approximately fourteen people are visible, most in white.2010-11-07November 07 20102010-11-07An outdoor procession on a dirt path strewn with red flower petals, with several people walking beneath ornate multicoloured canopies with gold finials and a thatched hut behind them. At the centre a woman in an orange sari wears a garland of yellow and orange flowers and holds her hands in anjali, carrying a silver tray with a green offering. Around her, men in orange robes and orange shawls walk alongside men and women in white dhotis and white garments, many with hands folded in greeting. Onlookers in white line the path on the right, some with palms pressed together. Scene reads as a religious procession, possibly part of an ashram inauguration.2008-04-19November 07 20102010-11-07A procession in an outdoor courtyard with palm trees and a white-railed structure behind. At centre, a figure in white ceremonial dress with a long dark hairstyle, a red floral garland and gold necklaces walks barefoot under a multicoloured canopy umbrella with a gold finial, a trident-topped staff rising beside. Around them, several men in saffron-orange robes and rudraksha malas walk in procession; one in front carries a brass tray of offerings. Further left, a man in white dhoti and shirt stands with palms pressed together, and people in white and orange clothing follow behind. Several attendants wear white and orange garments, and a man on the right in orange robes stands with hands clasped.2009-01-01A procession under a canopy with red pillars and an embroidered umbrella top moves across a paved courtyard. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair wears a red-orange sari-style drape, a gold pendant, a beaded mala and a red-orange bangle, walking barefoot with his hand near his waist. Immediately behind him, a bald young man in an orange-saffron dhoti and orange shawl carries a silver vessel with a green leaf sprig on a tray of purple flowers. Other white-clad devotees, some barefoot and holding a canopy pole, follow, while onlookers in white, cream and green stand along the sides with palms pressed together in greeting. The scene suggests a pada-puja style procession.2011-12-12December 22 20102010-12-22A photograph of a procession at an outdoor ashram courtyard in misty morning light. In the centre, a barefoot figure in saffron-orange robes wears a gold headband, a long garland of beads and flowers, and holds hands in anjali mudra. On the right, several men in white dhotis and shawls stand with hands folded beside an orange-draped platform, and a man in a grey vest and khaki trousers stands among them.
