Behind it, a figure in red and gold brocade and a white silk garment with gold embroidery and jewelled necklaces is partly visible, with a jewelled arm and bangles at left. The lingam rests on a golden peetha with a gold-embossed base. A watermarked copyright line appears at upper right and a small logo at lower left, though these are not described as content. No people are clearly in the foreground as persons; the figure shown is a decorated deity murti.2010-07-13A photograph of a figure seated in a golden ornate chariot or palanquin canopy, its head wrapped in an orange and maroon turban with a red flower and green leaves tucked in. The figure wears a jewelled diadem with a red stone, a teal-bordered cloth over white garments, and a thick golden armlet. Garlands of yellow marigolds, pink flowers and purple blossoms drape over the figure's shoulders and arms. Behind is a golden hooded naga-style canopy with green stone pendants and a pink silk backdrop. The figure appears to be a murti or decorated statue rather than a living person, and the figure is not identifiable from its face in this image.2010-09-15
