A photograph of a small ritual room where a priest in orange robes, bare-chested with white sacred markings on his arm and a rudraksha-style necklace, performs an aarti with a lit oil lamp before a red-draped table. Behind the table sits a framed portrait of a smiling figure in a pink-and-red robe with a flowered white-and-pink headdress and a garland of white flowers and beads, seated as if on a throne. Beside it hangs a framed gold-bordered devotional picture of a deity seated on a lotus-like seat, and small oil lamps, flowers and a plate of offerings sit on the table. Three or four devotees in the foreground, one in white and others in shadow, watch from the sides, and one holds a phone to his ear.

A photograph taken from behind inside a small home shrine room with floral-patterned wallpaper in orange and cream. A framed portrait of a smiling man with long dark hair, wearing an orange garment and beads, is decorated with red and orange flower garlands and stands on a red draped table with a brass lamp. A shaved-headed man in a rust-red robe with a gold border and a sling bag stands before it, and a second man beside him in orange-red cloth adds a flower garland. A woman in a white sari with a flower string in her hair and folded hands stands at left, and a man in a white shirt with a beaded necklace stands at right, all in prayer and darshan at the shrine.

A photograph of three people performing a puja outdoors under a corrugated metal shelter beside a large tree trunk. A bare-chested man in a white dhoti with a patterned border and a rudraksha mala stands at left, holding a small object. Two women face the altar: one in an orange saree and one in a rust-red saree, the rust-red saree figure extending a hand toward a cut-out figure. A large standing cut-out portrait of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes, with a crown-like headdress, a garland, gold necklaces and raised hand, stands on an ornate stone pedestal. In front is a brass plate with banana, coconut halves and fruit on a colourful cloth, plus a small brass lamp and kalasha. Concrete block walls and dry ground surround the scene.

A photograph of women performing an aarti before a framed portrait of a smiling man with a red turban, rudraksha-style beaded mala and white floral garlands, set against a plain white wall. Behind a purple-draped table with marigold garlands, several women in orange, pink, blue and yellow saris stand with hands folded or hold a lit lamp toward the portrait. Steel pots of food, bowls of curry and a plate of sweets sit on the table, and a metal bucket and cups are at the edges.

A photograph of women performing an aarti before a framed portrait on a table draped in purple cloth. The portrait depicts a smiling man in an orange turban and orange robe, wearing a white and red flower garland and a multi-strand pearl-style necklace, with arm bands and hands in anjali; it is a depiction, not a physical person, and the page does not establish identity, so no name is given. A woman in an orange sari holds a lit lamp toward it while others in pink, blue, and gold saris stand with palms joined. Marigold garlands line the table, which holds a brass thali with lamps, fruit and sweets, and steel pots of food including red and brown curries and a white dessert dish. Two older women in a pink-striped sari and a blouse with floral print watch with hands folded; a woman in a yellow top sits at the lower right.
