The murti wears a gold-and-red garland, a white-and-red adornment, a yellow dhoti, and holds a trident; the devotee holds an aarti lamp with a flame and offerings. Marigold and flower petals lie at the base. A gold donation box labelled Nithyanandeshwari Devasthanam stands to the left, beside a red building and green palm plants.2017-01-11April 02 20122012-04-02October 09 20112011-10-09January 09 20102010-01-09September 15 20152015-09-15Inside a temple shrine, a silver-framed niche holds a silver deity murti of a goddess with a red-orange tilak on its forehead, heavily garlanded with marigold and yellow flowers, red and white blooms and blue petals, set over a black cloth bordered in gold. Ornate silver filigree surrounds the arch. In the foreground a man in a white short-sleeved shirt stands at the shrine with his hands on a silver railing, while beside him a man in a maroon-red head wrap and orange-red shawl reaches toward the offering, and at right a bald man with a yellow-orange tilak in saffron robes stands close by. A brass vessel with offerings and a small flame sits at lower left, with a silver trident at upper right.2015-07-02Exterior of a dark stone Hindu temple with a tall curvilinear shikhara spire and a kalasha with trident finial on top, under a hazy morning sky. Strings of colourful flags and cloth banners hang across the facade. A wet stone courtyard in front holds a group of people: several in plain white dhotis and saris, and others in saffron and orange robes, some carrying orange flags. Their clothing and the damp ground suggest a temple visit or procession near the shrine. No identifiable a person figure is visible.2015-09-15A photograph of an outdoor shrine with several black stone deity murti in golden arched niches, garlanded with yellow and orange flower garlands. A man with long hair, bare-chested and wearing an orange dhoti and orange shawl, stands with his back to the camera facing the central shrine, which holds a figure in orange and white draped garments. Green trees and potted plants surround the open-air shrine courtyard. A black plaque with Tamil script sits at the base of the central shrine, and a red and white painted pedestal frames the platform.2011-12-09Interior temple shrine photo. Two dark stone guardian statues in orange draped garments with ornate arm bands stand flanking the doorway. Within the arched shrine, a dark deity murti is adorned with red and green garlands and red cloth. A single person in white clothes kneels in prayer at the threshold, facing the shrine, with offerings and a plate of fruit and flowers in front. Yellow and red decorative border trim and a red and gold patterned cloth frame the entrance.2012-04-02A photograph of a shrine niche inside a temple with a golden arch frame. A man in white dhoti and shirt with an orange shawl sits cross-legged at the lower left, offering flowers from a basket of pink petals and performing worship before a deity murti. The murti is dressed in red and orange cloth with layered garlands of flowers and gold ornaments, and a red headdress. In front are brass lamps, a kalasha-style vessel, a bowl and a plate with offerings, on a yellow-and-white decorated platform with red stripes on the niche walls. The setting is a polished stone shrine interior.2008-08-24
