Outdoor photograph of a ceremony on a raised metal platform under a clear blue sky. A bare-chested man with short grey hair and a sacred thread across his chest raises a brass lamp high with one arm, smoke rising from it. Beside him stands a flower-decorated ratha or chariot structure, its arch wrapped in garlands of orange, yellow, red, purple and white flowers, with a grey stone wheel beneath. A second man in orange cloth with bare shoulders and white markings on his forehead sits at the left railing.

A bare-chested man with long, swept-back dark hair and rudraksha beads wears an orange garment and holds up a lit oil lamp or ritual vessel in his right hand, with smoke rising from it. Beside him, a second person in orange clothing is partly visible at the left edge. In front of them is a large grey stone linga-shaped form wrapped in a long garland of marigolds and red, purple, yellow and green flowers.
