A woman in a blue and yellow floral sari and an orange top, with a pink-and-white checked headscarf, balances a large grey metal basin on her head while smiling. She carries it across a paved area of cut grey granite slabs. Around her, workers in white shirts, a man in a brown shirt, and a young man in a navy t-shirt and grey shorts stand near the stone, some holding long wooden poles and tools. Green bamboo grows behind them and a reddish-brown earth ground is visible at the edge of the site. The scene shows manual construction labour on a stone-paved site.

A woman in a striped blue-and-white shirt, blue floral sarong and a striped head wrap pours fine grey powder from a yellow bowl onto a ground surface at a construction site. Dust billows from the bowl. Behind her, a man in a grey shirt and shorts walks past a brick wall with bamboo poles and scattered stones. Laid paving slabs and loose red earth fill the foreground, with a green-leafed tree at the upper right.

A woman in an orange-brown sari with a pink and white headcloth bends over a construction site, scooping sand or concrete into a metal pan beside a large green-and-grey diesel-powered concrete mixer. The mixer has a flywheel, hand crank and a rusted steel frame. Behind her are a pile of wet grey mix on the bare earth, cement blockwork walls, a low stone boundary wall, and stacked sacks at the right. The scene shows ongoing building work at the ashram grounds.

A photograph of a construction site with workers moving sand and stone. In the foreground, a woman in a red sari bends over a yellow basin, and another woman in a blue-green head covering sifts sand near a yellow basin. A woman in a striped blouse and blue skirt stands by a basin, and a man in a white shirt and dark trousers holds a pickaxe while another woman in an orange sari stands nearby. Stacked grey granite slabs and blocks lie across the orange dirt ground, with a yellow tractor-loader at left and a multi-storey red-brick building behind. Several more workers and a woman carrying a basin on her head appear in the background.
