Hanging lights decorate the roof. A watermarked copyright line is partly visible.2017-07-08Night ceremony in an open temple courtyard lit by hanging string lights, with a golden-framed shrine behind holding deity murti and garlands. A man seated on a gold throne with a red cushion, wearing a red-orange turban and robe with heavy flower garlands, holds a sheet of paper and appears to read from it. Standing beside him, a bare-chested person with long hair and a shawl-like cloth tied at the waist leans in. Nearby, several men in orange dhotis with white sacred markings on their bodies stand or crouch around metal vessels. On the right, women in orange and red saris and gold necklaces stand in a row, one in a white sari with a rudraksha mala. A golden canopy with red, blue and yellow fringe hangs above the throne. The seated figure's dress and the printed portrait captions do not establish identity, so this is a ritual scene with uncertain identity.2017-07-08February 06 20132013-02-06July 08 20172017-07-08 +1 copiesJuly 08 20172017-07-08 +1 copiesA ceremonial scene inside a temple hall with a golden halo-shaped backdrop behind a red-cushioned seat. A man seated on the throne wears a maroon-brown robe, a rust-coloured turban, and layered garlands of yellow beads and pink-white flowers, and holds a folded paper. Two long-haired men in orange and white dhotis stand and kneel near him, one kneeling before a white cloth and flower-decorated offering on a brass platform. Women in orange and white saris, gold necklaces, and orange-clad attendants hold threads and stand around the seat, with a black bucket nearby. This appears to be a puja or initiation-style ritual.2017-07-08A photograph inside a white tented hall with gold-framed temple-style decor. A seated man on an ornate gold-and-red throne wears a maroon-orange turban, a long ceremonial garland of flowers, gold necklaces, and rudraksha-style beads, with eyes closed and hands resting on the armrests. Beside him a standing attendant in white dhoti with a red-orange turban holds a brass plate, and a lit oil lamp flame burns in the foreground. Rows of seated devotees, many women in white, saffron and yellow saris, sit on colourful striped mats; a golden parasol with tassels hangs above the throne. Lion-motif decorations and flower garlands frame the scene. Swamiji (probable): the seated man on the throne shows long swept-back hair, a turban, ornate gold necklaces and a garland, matching the expected presentation.2016-12-07November 20 20162016-11-20November 20th 20162016-11-20May 02 20172017-05-02November 14 20102010-11-14Night photo of a ritual at an outdoor pavilion with gold drapes and a gold canopy overhead. A seated man in red and gold clothing, wearing layered garlands of flowers and a gold chain, sits on a gold throne. Before him, an older priest in white dhoti and shawl, with white markings on his arms, bows and touches his feet. Around them stand devotees: men in orange and saffron garments, women in orange, maroon and white saris with garlands, and a young man with white facial markings. Two white pots and a small offering of flowers sit on the floor. The seated figure is an appearance-based a person candidate only partially supported by visible cues, so the identity remains uncertain.2017-07-08
