Dusk outdoor ceremony at a temple-style flag-hoisting site. A bare-chested man in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with gold borders pulls a white rope at the top of a tall ornate copper-and-brass dhwaja staff, crowned with a bundle of dried grass and green leaves and wrapped with yellow and purple marigold garlands. Beside him a second man in green cloth and a gold necklace stands near the staff. A tented canopy with small orange triangular pennants hangs overhead, palm trees stand behind, and a few spectators are visible at the lower right. This appears to be a dwajarohana flag-hoisting ritual.
