A stage event where several men in saffron and orange robes and one man in white stand in front of a yellow satin-draped board. A bald man in orange robes lights a tall brass oil lamp, while a man in a red-orange turban holds a peacock-feather fan beside him. A man with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala stands at left in orange, and a bearded man in orange stands near the centre. Nearby, a man in white with a cap stands at far left, and a bald priest in orange stands at far right. A banner behind them shows portraits of older men, and a large framed portrait hangs above the stage curtains. The scene suggests a formal inaugural ceremony with a lamp-lighting.

Beside him, a younger man in an orange turban and orange robe with a long rudraksha mala looks on, appearing to be a candidate for a person with a turban, saffron clothing and rudraksha cues, so the probable identification applies. Two women in orange saris stand at the right edge, and a man in a blue cap is visible in the background among onlookers.2008-09-24
