Photograph of a ritual aarti in a dim hall. In the foreground a man in an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl, with long swept-back black hair, rudraksha bracelets on his wrists and upper arm, holds a silver bell in one hand and a silver multi-flame lamp in the other, its flames rising; the figure is shown in profile. Behind him, several men in white kurtas and dhotis stand, one with rudraksha beads, one holding a video camera. In the lower left, a silver bowl filled with pink rose petals and a tall silver lamp stand are visible. The setting is dark with smoke haze.
