Many raise arms and wave white sheets or cloths overhead. A large banner reads Nithyananda Spurana, Feb 5th-9th 2008, Paavai Maha Nithyananda Vihar, Pachal, Namakkal, beside a portrait labelled with the text on the banner. Several saffron-robed figures stand on the stage behind a microphone, and a person in white is near the front. Floral garlands decorate the stage edges.
