A close photograph of a raised hand holding a dark metal incense holder with several lit incense sticks sending up smoke. Behind it, a deity murti or decorated figure is densely adorned with garlands of orange and yellow marigolds, purple flowers, white jasmine strands and red roses, with a glittering silver and pink sequined ornament at upper left. The setting is an evening puja or aarti-style offering, with the incense held up in devotion. No face is visible; only the hand and arm of one person appear in the frame.

The woman's sari shows pink and orange stripes on the left and turquoise blue at the lower left. A dark backdrop with blurred red and white imagery is visible at right.
