Inside the doorway a small shrine area with a green-and-brown offering stand and yellow flowers is visible. The man's face is partly turned away from the camera. He wears an orange-red shawl over bare shoulders and rudraksha beads on his wrist. To his left, a woman in a red sari with a red forehead mark stands beside him. Beyond the open doorway, a deity murti is decorated with white and red flower garlands, and a dark shiva lingam-like object sits draped in garlands. A statue of a seated figure stands near the frame. This appears to be an aarti ritual at a shrine. The man's presentation shows dreadlocks, an orange shawl and rudraksha cues, but these alone do not establish identity, so he is described by role.2018-03-01A photograph of a man with long dreadlocks and a reddish-orange shawl stands at a shrine, holding a brass aarti plate with several lit oil lamps in front of him. The murti has blue-grey skin, a dark topknot, a white and red tilak on the forehead and an orange garment. A rope garland with red and blue tassels hangs above the niche against pale stone walls, with a beaded curtain at right. The man's stance and posture suggest devotion, and the scene looks like a temple darshan.2018-04-29
