An outdoor crowd gathers on a dirt ground at a festival site. In the foreground, several men in white shirts and a man in a striped shirt stand with arms folded, looking toward the centre. Behind them, shirtless men in white dhotis and a few people in white clothing stand near drums, and women in saris stand among them. A yellow banner shows a smiling figure in an orange turban and orange robes, with Tamil lettering, and a second banner with a similar orange-robed portrait hangs from a bamboo scaffold stage. A thatched shelter with blue tarpaulin and green screens stand behind the crowd under an overcast sky.
