A photograph of an unfinished concrete building facade under construction, showing grey concrete block walls, exposed concrete beams and columns, and rows of empty window openings with yellowish film. Orange and white electrical conduit and black pipes run along the wall and beneath the concrete slab, held by thin metal brackets. Green trees stand at the right edge against a pale sky. No people are visible.

A photograph of a long, unfinished concrete block wall under construction on bare, sandy earth. The grey breeze-block wall has regularly spaced square ventilation openings and a row of blue steel roof trusses or framing lying along its top. Pale pipes and a small brick structure sit at its base, with a few bamboo poles and rope scattered in the foreground. A partly cloudy hazy sky and a tree at the left edge complete the scene. No people are visible.

A partially built concrete-block wall of a building under construction, with window openings and a steel truss roof frame running along the top edge against a pale sky. A green tree is visible behind the roofline at right, and construction debris and sand lie at the base. No people are visible.

A photograph of an unfinished concrete-block building under construction, with exposed grey breeze-block walls, a flat concrete slab overhang and bare concrete pillars on the lower level. A leafless tree grows against the wall in the centre, with dark vertical plumbing pipes and orange and white cables running across the facade and along the ground. Rubble and loose soil lie at the base, and a few dried leaves remain on the branches. No people are visible.

A photograph of an unfinished concrete building under construction at Bidadi Ashram. Grey concrete block walls rise between square window openings, with exposed concrete columns and a slab edge at the top. Bamboo and metal scaffolding and vertical rebar rods extend above the upper floor. A second structure with a tall metal scaffold frame stands to the right, and construction debris, rebar and metal stock lie on the ground beneath. The sky is overcast and white. No people are visible.

A photograph of an unfinished two-storey concrete building under construction, with bare grey block walls, exposed rebar rods rising from the roof, and open window frames. Raised pillars support the structure above a muddy, rubble-strewn ground littered with broken concrete, bricks, plastic sheeting, PVC pipes and a black water tank. A tree stands at the right edge and a few small figures in white are faintly visible at the far left near the wall, with a dark-haired figure beside a pipe. Black cables run along the front of the building.

Aadheenam Construction 2009

Close view of an unfinished construction structure: a corrugated off-white metal roof sheet supported by yellow-painted steel purlins and dark steel truss girders. Grey concrete block walls stand at the left, and a red painted block wall runs along the bottom edge. The site appears empty of people, showing only building framework and materials.

A photograph of an unfinished multi-storey concrete building under construction, with grey cinder-block walls, exposed reinforcing rods rising above, and window and door frames fitted into the openings. Two women in saris, one in green and one in purple, stand near a doorway at ground level beside stacked bricks and timber. A man in a white shirt and grey trousers stands on a upper ledge, and another man in a checked shirt works on a wall at the upper right. Red-railed balconies of a neighbouring building appear in the background, with laundry hanging, and a blue tarpaulin is draped on the right edge.

A construction site showing partly built concrete block walls with empty window openings under a corrugated sheet roof. A red-painted block wall with a barred window sits beside a building with a green metal roof and an orange door. Sandy soil, a small heap of earth, loose bricks and scattered footwear lie on the ground in front. No people are visible.
