Rows of women sit on red tiered steps performing puja before black stone Shiva lingams with round yoni bases. Many wear orange, saffron and red saris and salwar kameez; one in a red and gold sari is seated at the front left, another in pink and purple sits centre, and a woman in a brown-orange sari at right holds a small object. Brass vessels and oil lamps rest on the steps, and red flags and a loudspeaker stand against a fenced background. Hundreds of participants fill the stepped seating, with visible rows extending upward and to the right.
