A photograph of an outdoor homa fire site on reddish earth, with smoke drifting across the scene. A long-haired figure in saffron-orange robes walks at right, holding a folded orange cloth in one hand. Several men in white ritual clothes sit or crouch around the smouldering fire pit, and another in white stands behind them. A white and red striped ceremonial umbrella stands at left, with coconut palms and a green-roofed building behind. The clothing and setting suggest a fire ritual in progress.

A man in a long flowing orange robe with long dark hair walks at right, gesturing with his hand. Several men in white dhotis and shirts kneel or stand at a smoldering fire pit with ash and burnt wood on red earth, one tending the fire and another lifting cloth. Electric wires and a utility pole stand in the background.2006-11-21A smoky outdoor scene on reddish-brown earth beside tall coconut palms and a utility pole with wires. Smoke drifts across the ground where a fire pit has been prepared. A figure in a long flowing orange robe stands at the front right, long dark hair falling loose, with a hand raised near his chest. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts are scattered across the scene: one stands at left with hands folded in prayer, one at centre-left wears a white robe with an orange shawl over his shoulder and bends over the ground, another in white bends low near the fire, and a man in white with an orange shawl stands at the far right. Other people in white are faintly visible in the smoke. The setting appears to be a homa or yagna area being prepared outdoors.2006-11-21A smoky outdoor site with reddish-brown freshly dug earth in the foreground and tall coconut palms behind. A long-haired person in an orange-saffron robe walks along a concrete path at center, carrying nothing in hand. To the right, a man in white clothes and an orange shawl holds a long staff. Several people in white garments bend and move among the smoke near the pit area, and a person in an orange top also works at left. Around fifteen to twenty people sit in white clothes with yellow shawls, several wearing red scarves, arranged in a loose circle of small ash-rimmed fire pits, some smoking. At the left foreground, a figure in orange-saffron robes sits with hands pressed together in prayer, the only saffron-clad person visible, but his face and features are not clearly discernible and his appearance is not distinctive enough to confirm identity. Behind them a pile of firewood, a small white building with a green roof, and stone statues along the right edge complete the scene.2010-08-08Outdoor photo of a ritual fire ceremony on a bare dirt ground beneath coconut palms, with smoke rising from the trees on the left. Several rows of seated participants sit cross-legged around circular fire pits holding ash and embers. Most wear white ritual clothing with red or yellow shawls; a seated man at the front left in an orange-saffron robe holds his hands in anjali near the pit, and a central man in white with a red shawl sits at the front of the pit area. A wood pile and a small white building with a corrugated roof stand in the background, and stone statues are visible at the right edge. Several dozen physical people are visible.2010-08-08August 18 20062006-08-18June 13 20102010-06-13July 11 20102010-07-11An outdoor photograph of a homa or fire ritual on bare earth under coconut palms, with a grey overcast sky.
