Night aerial photograph of a vast Kumbh Mela encampment lit by thousands of warm yellow lamps and string lights. Illuminated decorative archways with red and gold lights, lit tent structures, dark blue tarpaulin roofs, and black flags on tall poles stand among the tents. Small distant figures move along pathways between the tents, too small and indistinct to count individually.

Thousands of small lights, many of them oil lamps, glow in long lines across the grounds, while colourful illuminated arches and decorated structures stand among the tents and tall pennant-topped poles rise at intervals. No individual people are distinguishable in the scene. A faint haze and fading sky sit above the encampment.2013-02-13February 13 20132013-02-13February 13 20132013-02-13February 13 20132013-02-13February 13 20132013-02-13February 13 20132013-02-13February 13 20132013-02-13
