The large image has a white fan-shaped halo with red and blue painted accents and is decorated with yellow and pink marigold garlands. Orange and white flower garlands, a coconut and loose yellow petals drift on the surface, with a turquoise wooden board nearby. A stone-walled tank edge and lily pads appear at the top and right. A night photograph of a dark pond with a floating offering: a white decorative raft or float carrying a deity murti surrounded by heaps of colourful flower garlands in pink, yellow and orange, plus loose marigolds and a red cloth on the water. A small brick-walled island with grass stands in the background, palm trees line the far bank, and lotus-like leaves float to the right. The murti depicts a goddess with a dark braided hair, red and white garments and red garland, reclining beside a lion figure with a golden mane; the deity's arms are raised and a trident-like object lies across it. Scattered white cloth and decorations float around the raft, consistent with an immersion (visarjan) after a festival. No people are visible in the scene.2010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17Outdoor Dasara immersion scene at a water channel beside red-brick steps. A long-haired figure in an orange-saffron shawl and wrap reaches out toward a large white clay deity murti of Devi, mounted on a tiered white and blue ornamented platform with a lion figure at its base. The image is pale and marked with garlands, and the murti is carried on a blue-painted wooden bench-like litter. Around them stand devotees in white dhotis and white kurtas, some with yellow shawls, and one older man in a white garment with a pink-stained shawl whose face and head are smeared with coloured powder. A bald man in orange stands at the right edge, also with coloured powder on his head. Palm trees and a stone wall line the background under an overcast sky.2010-10-17
