Night photograph of a procession on a dark road during a girivalam around Arunachala. A figure with long dark hair in saffron-orange robes sits elevated on a raised platform or vehicle at right, surrounded by a crowd of devotees in orange and white clothing seated and standing close together. Bright lights from a vehicle and a street lamp illuminate the scene, with a white car and a lit vehicle or palanquin visible in the background. Foreground devotees, some holding cameras, are seen from behind. Cues for a person: long swept hair and saffron clothing seated centrally on the raised platform as the honoured figure of the procession.
