August 29 20062006-08-29A photograph of an indoor gathering in which a long-haired figure in an orange robe presses both palms to the face of a seated man in a white kurta with a brown rudraksha mala. The robed figure has long black hair and a bare arm extended, and the seated man's eyes are closed as he receives the blessing. Behind them a man in an orange shawl over white clothing stands with a rudraksha mala, and further back several people in white clothes stand with hands folded in prayer. A pale carpeted hall and a table with small items are visible at right. The scene appears to be a blessing or darshan moment. Only the robed figure's appearance does not clearly establish identity, so the candidate is unsure.2006-08-29August 29 20062006-08-29A photograph of a seated devotee in a white t-shirt and a rudraksha mala, eyes closed, palms pressed together before his chest. A man in an orange shawl with long, swept-back dark hair and a red mark on his forehead touches the devotee's brow with his right hand, while a third person in orange and white stands behind them. Behind them are a potted plant, a red cushion and a hall with carpet. A printed copyright and source notice overlays the lower right, which is not transcribed.2006-08-29August 29 20062006-08-29August 29 20062006-08-29August 29 20062006-08-29Candid photograph at an indoor convention in Salem, Tamil Nadu. A long-haired man in a white dhoti-style garment with a gold-bordered shawl stands in the right foreground, his hand raised to the forehead of an older man. The older man wears a white shirt, a rudraksha mala and a black bead necklace, with a conference-style badge on his chest, and gazes forward. Behind them a person in an orange shawl and white clothes with a beaded necklace stands partly visible.2006-07-30February 17 20132013-02-17February 17 20132013-02-17A seated figure with long, swept-back black hair wears an orange-saffron shawl and rudraksha mala, and extends a hand to touch the forehead of a standing man in a white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl and rudraksha mala. The standing man holds his palms up near the figure's hands in a blessing-receiving gesture. Behind them, a man with a white tilak and a dhoti with green border smiles, and a man in white clothing stands at the right, with more people in white and orange clothing in the background. Round wall air-conditioning units and a red cushioned seat appear in the room. The long hair and orange shawl are the appearance cues for a probable Swamiji, seated and blessing a devotee in an initiation-style moment. Probable Swamiji (probable) in the seated figure, giving a forehead blessing to a devotee.2013-05-14April 14 20122012-04-14
