A photograph of a ritual at a temple-style stage in front of a night-sky backdrop. Centre, a figure with long dark braided hair and a red-brown garment and floral garland stands behind a decorated deity murti seated on a flower-covered platform, holding an offering near its head. Two gold female attendant statues with palms joined flank the scene, and a gold-and-red parasol canopy hangs above. Priests in saffron-orange robes with white body markings and a man in a rust-coloured turban kneel beside brass vessels and oil lamps. A garlanded silver-trimmed platform and a standing woman in orange robes with white markings appear at right. The image is a puja offering during the Meenakshi Pattabhishekam festival.
