A photograph of a festive Devi worship setting under a tent with pink and white canopy. Three large ornate deity murtis stand on a raised platform: Devi with multiple arms holding weapons at centre, flanked by Lakshmi on the left and Sarasvati on the right with a veena, plus a Ganesha murti at far left. Each murti has elaborate gold and multicoloured halo-like backdrops and yellow marigold garlands. Two standing priests walk past the platform steps: a bare-chested figure with long dark hair wearing an orange cloth wrap and white body markings, and a second man in a maroon-brown cloth. Brass trays with offerings, flower garlands and a silver ceremonial umbrella and throne sit at the right edge, with marigold decorations on the floor.

Centre, a tall Durga figure with multiple arms, golden crown and ornate jewellery holds weapons and stands above a green demon figure; a steel staircase leads up to her. Flanking her are a goddess in golden-green robes with a veena-like instrument and a pink Ganesha with a gold dhoti. Golden arches studded with jewels frame each figure, with garlands of flowers. In front, a golden peetha holds a purple cloth, flower garland, brass lamps and marigold offerings. These are deity murtis, not people, so no physical people are visible apart from a partially seen figure in orange at left-centre.2017-09-27September 28 20172017-09-28September 28 20172017-09-28September 28 20172017-09-28 +1 copiesPhotograph of a festive temple-style hall showing large illuminated deity murti: a central goddess with multiple arms wielding weapons and a lion mount, flanked by two smaller goddess figures and an elephant-headed deity, all draped in yellow garlands with golden halos. In the foreground a seated man in orange-red robes and a rudraksha mala is being honoured while a standing priest in a maroon-red robe and white ritual garment performs an aarti with a lamp. Silver lamps, a silver peetha and flower offerings surround the stage, and a row of seated devotees in orange shawls sits in the lower foreground. The priest's light and the arranged garlands suggest an aarti during puja.2017-09-28 +1 copiesSeptember 28 20172017-09-28 +1 copiesSeptember 28 20172017-09-28 +1 copiesA photograph of a Navaratri-style temple tableau under a white tent with pink and red draping.
