A photograph of a river bathing scene at a Kumbh Mela event. In the centre, a man with wet dark hair stands waist-deep in water, wearing a dark maroon wet garment and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace with a golden pendant, gold bracelets and a dark beaded bracelet, and pours water from his cupped hands into a metal vessel held in the foreground. To the left, a shaved-headed person with a hoop earring watches from the water. On the right, a person in glasses is partly visible at the edge. Behind them, a crowd of devotees stands in the river, including a man in a red scarf and white garment with a beaded necklace, and people in yellow shirts on the bank under a pale sky.
