At the centre, a golden ornate ratha or palanquin-style chariot carries a seated figure beneath a gold canopy and flower garlands, with red and orange canopies and green and gold umbrellas overhead. Men in white dhotis and saffron-coloured garments walk alongside, one holding a long staff. Uniformed police officers stand near the barricades. Many red and orange flags printed with a smiling saffron-robed sannyasi's face wave in the foreground. A banner behind reads in Hindi about the Ujjain Kumbh Mela. Crowd members wave and raise hands.
