A festive event under a thatched roof decorated with streamers in red, blue, silver, pink, teal and green. Several bare-chested men in white dhotis with green and maroon borders play drums and cymbals in the foreground, some with red forehead markings. Behind them, a large banner shows a smiling portrait, and a figure in orange robes stands near a white circular display, while a man in white shirt and white dhoti stands to the right. Spectators in white, cream and orange saris and shirts fill the hall. The red-floored space and drumming suggest a Tamil celebratory procession or welcome performance.
