Photograph taken at night outdoors at a temple-side area with a whitewashed building, a yellow-and-blue Tamil signboard, and a small shrine with a decorated dome. A bearded man in a saffron-orange shawl with a green leaf garland and white forehead markings stands at the centre, smiling, with his hand raised near a crowd. Around him are many people in orange and saffron clothing with bead necklaces and white vibhuti or sandalwood markings on their foreheads and bodies, some bare-chested. A man in a white shirt and a young man in a purple shirt are nearby, and a person in the foreground holds up a mobile phone to photograph the central figure. Several onlookers, including children, crowd close together.
