A seated man in a rust-orange turban with a jewelled ornament and a rust-orange shawl over the shoulder smiles while holding a golden vessel and offering sweets from his hand. He wears heavy gold necklaces, gold armbands and gold earrings, and sits on a red velvet seat before an ornately carved gold throne. Behind him, two men in white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas stand by a brass oil lamp, and a seated man on the left, with white tilak marks and a rudraksha mala, sits near a bowl of sweets. The setting appears to be a ritual gathering. Swamiji (probable): the seated central figure, wearing a rust-orange turban, long swept-back hair, heavy gold ornaments and a rudraksha-adorned ceremonial presentation, is seated in the position of honour.
