In the foreground, workers are laying and stacking flat grey stone slabs on a dirt and stone courtyard, some working with tools near the stacks. Stone slabs are being laid across a large open paved area in front of a long red-washed building with a corrugated metal canopy and scaffolding on its left side. Several workers in plain clothes, some in light shirts and dark trousers, bend over the stones or stand near the building, with loose slabs and a green bucket in the foreground. Trees and an overcast sky frame the scene.2016-09-16A red-painted temple-style building with a wide open front porch and a small gold finial on the roof, set on a dusty ground with scattered paving slabs. Several workers in dark clothes kneel and crouch on the steps and at the foot of the entrance, laying stones and handling soil among potted plants. A woman in a red-orange sari walks across the foreground, and a few people in saffron-orange robes stand near the open doorway; one man in a dark shirt stands by the steps. A monk-like figure in orange robes stands at the top of the steps near a speaker box, but no one is clearly identifiable as a particular person.2016-08-18A red-painted ashram building with a long open-sided corrugated roof and a small finial on top stands behind a paved courtyard being worked on by a group of men doing manual labour. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and light trousers lifts a stone slab, while others crouch and dig with tools beside stacked stone and potted plants. On the veranda, a few people stand watching, including a woman in dark clothes, a man in a pink shirt, and a figure in orange robes. Workers in casual clothes, including a man in an orange shirt at right and a man in a red-and-white striped shirt, move among stacked flat granite slabs and lay dark stone paving tiles across a sandy ground. A red multi-storey building stands at left beside parked white and blue cars, and green trees and low red-roofed structures line the background. Several figures are visible, including a man in white at far right. No a person candidate is visible; the figures are workers and passers-by.2016-09-14September 16 20162016-09-16Outdoor ashram courtyard under construction: volunteers lay large grey stone paving slabs across the ground, while a few workers and a small group of people stand near red-painted buildings with a metal awning. A worker in a white shirt and dark trousers stands in the foreground with a long tool, and others bend over the slabs. On the right, an ornate gold-painted palanquin or ratha with carved figures sits under a metal shed roof. Scattered broken paving stones and a green bucket lie in the dirt in front. Overcast sky and trees fill the background.2016-09-16September 16 20162016-09-16A photograph of a paving work site in front of a large orange-red multi-storey building with rows of windows and wall-mounted air conditioning units. Two workers stand on a half-finished stone-paved area: a young man in a checked shirt and brown trousers on the left holding a tool, and a man in a grey shirt and jeans in the centre. Loose granite slabs and rounded cobblestones lie scattered across the ground, with piles of sand and rubble beside the building. Trees and a clear pale sky appear at the edges.2016-09-08An unfinished single-storey orange-painted building with a long low facade and a flat roof edged with small orange finials and a pennant. The ground in front is bare dirt littered with rubble, scrap wood, plastic sheets and sacks, with stacked boxes near a doorway. One person in white clothing walks across the yard at left, and another person in white sits on steps at the right doorway. Plastic chairs stand on the yard, and a blue sign is mounted on the facade. A tree branch frames the left edge under an overcast sky.2009-12-17 +1 copies
