Outdoor evening gathering on an open upper deck of a ship at dusk, under a darkening blue-grey sky with scattered clouds. Dozens of people sit closely in rows on blue mats and folding chairs, mostly dressed in white garments with red shoulder cloths or red waist sashes. In the foreground a seated person wears a white outfit with a red sash, and a few people sit on benches. Glass railings, metal fixtures, a canopy and a microphone stand frame the scene, with a tall lamp post and a dim amber light near the right side. The people face toward the front.
