Indoor photo of a seated group on a red-and-blue striped mat in a bare white-walled hall with bright windows. A framed portrait leans at the left edge, its image showing a figure in orange, but it is a printed picture rather than a physical person. In the foreground a woman in orange shawl sits cross-legged facing the portrait, hands together near a small steel cup. Beside her a woman in white with an orange shawl kneels and gestures, and at right a woman in orange kneels while another in white sits on the floor. Behind them a girl in a pink kurta and yellow salwar stands near a steel cabinet, and a man in white with an orange shawl stands at right. A white cloth spread on the floor holds a banana leaf with rice and side dishes, with a small brass or steel vessel nearby.
