July 03 20072007-07-03A photograph inside a dim stone temple corridor at Angkor Wat, Cambodia. A man with long dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead stands beside a smooth stone Shiva lingam set on a carved stone base, raising one hand in greeting while smiling. He wears a flowing saffron-orange robe and a dark rudraksha mala. Behind him, a group of visitors watches: an older woman with short grey hair in white clothes and a rudraksha mala holds a straw hat, and a man in a white kurta with an orange shawl holds a small object. Other onlookers in yellow and white stand in the background. The lingam is the central ritual object, with weathered stone surfaces around it.2007-07-03A young man with long curly hair and a vermilion mark on his forehead wears an orange saffron wrap and pours water from a clear plastic bottle onto a smooth stone shivalingam inside a stone temple doorway. Behind him, several women in white and pastel clothing watch closely; one holds a sheet of paper and another wears a green and blue shawl, while a woman on the right carries a brown patterned handbag. A stone pillar and dim interior surround the group. A purple logo appears in the upper right corner.2007-07-03August 06 20092009-08-06July 03 20072007-07-03July 03 20072007-07-03A photograph inside a stone temple interior showing a man with long curly hair and an orange saffron wrap pouring water from a clear plastic bottle over a smooth grey stone shivalinga on a base. Behind him a group of women stands watching: one in a white top holds a clipboard and pen, an older woman wears an orange patterned shawl, a younger woman has a green and blue scarf, and a woman in a yellow top with white trousers stands at right with palms pressed together in namaskar. The setting is a dim ancient sandstone interior with a lamp of warm light. Swamiji (probable): the man pouring water has long swept-back hair and saffron clothing, a distinctive appearance cue, and is performing the abhishekam.2007-07-03A barefoot man with long, swept-back black hair walks on a concrete floor, wearing an orange saffron robe draped over his shoulder and body. Around him, several men in white dhoti-and-kurta clothing move about, and at right a cameraman films with a large video camera on his shoulder. The scene appears to be a temple or ashram floor during an evening consecration event.2006-12-11A man in saffron-orange draped robes and a rudraksha mala walks toward the camera through a stone doorway of an ancient temple, carrying a wooden staff and wearing a straw hat and orange sandals. Behind him, a man in white with an orange shawl and a woman in a white hat and sunglasses follow, and another woman in white stands on the steps. The worn sandstone carvings and weathered blocks frame the scene. The lead figure matches the Swamiji appearance cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, so he is labelled Swamiji (probable).2007-07-03A photograph taken inside a dim, plain-walled sanctum-like chamber. A long-haired person in a saffron-orange robe kneels on the bare floor, leaning over a square stone slab set into the floor. On the slab sits a brass or gold plated yantra-like device with a central spiral design, draped with a white cloth. Two people in white garments with orange shawls lean forward beside the kneeling figure, one with a beaded mala and gold chain, and another partially visible person in white dhoti at the right edge. The scene suggests a consecration ritual at a garbha or foundation point.2006-12-11A photograph of a group of devotees on a stone terrace at an ancient temple site. In the centre, a smiling man with long dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange shawl over his body, a rudraksha mala necklace, and a red tilak on his forehead, raises one hand in greeting. Around him stand white-clad men with orange shawls and mala beads, a man in a striped polo shirt, a man with glasses and a white shirt, a woman in pink on the left, and a man in a green t-shirt with a bead necklace on the right. One man on the left holds a small book. The stone surface and weathered carved walls suggest an outdoor temple visit.2007-07-02A photograph of a figure in a saffron-orange sleeveless garment with a rudraksha mala, walking past weathered stone pillars in a temple setting. Long dark hair falls past the shoulders. In the foreground at left, a woman in an orange shawl over white clothes looks down. At right, a man in a white shirt with an orange shawl is partly visible. A translucent white robe and other figures appear behind. The appearance cues of the central figure (long swept hair, saffron garment, rudraksha mala) are consistent with the page's claim, so this is a person. The stone pillars are weathered and blurred.2007-07-02
