Night-time outdoor photo of a group receiving a temple flag and rope. A man in a light grey shirt and white dhoti holds a folded white cloth bundle with a yellow cloth draped over it. Beside him a shaven-headed priest in a red dhoti and bare upper body holds a bundle of rope. On the right, a figure in a saffron-orange robe with a matching orange turban and long dark hair stands with hands together, a probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long hair, saffron robe and turban. Men in white dhotis and shirts, some wearing identity lanyards, stand behind. Ornate red-and-gold umbrellas with tasselled edges and a gilded temple structure rise in the background under a light.

December 20 20062006-12-20Night photograph outdoors at a temple entrance with an ornate gateway and decorated umbrellas with red and blue fringes. On the right, a man in a saffron-orange robe and an orange head wrap stands with long dark hair and an open-armed gesture; the outfit and presentation match the page's Swamiji cue, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) figure present in person. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts stand in a group. A man in a maroon checked shirt holds a white folded cloth and a long rope, and a man in a green striped shirt holds a bundle of straw. A younger man in white with an orange shawl kneels near the straw. Gold and yellow cloth is draped over a litter at left, and a lit lamp glows on a pole.2006-12-20Night procession on a village street with a crowd of devotees in white and bright clothing. In the foreground a smiling man in an orange-saffron turban and orange robe walks to the right, appearing to be a candidate for a person by his orange robe and turban, though his appearance is only partially distinctive. A man in a light grey shirt holds a bundle of white cloth with a yellow cloth, and another man in a checked shirt walks beside him. Behind them a man in a red-maroon dhoti and shawl stands near a ceremonial trident and colourful umbrellas with tasselled fringes and decorative panels. Devotees in white shirts and dhotis and women in white saris line the procession, some with folded hands.2006-12-20December 20 20062006-12-20Night-time outdoor photo of a temple ceremony at a dusty ground beside a bamboo scaffold. In the centre, a figure in a saffron-orange robe and orange turban stands with hands together, flanked by a man in a red ceremonial garment. Around them are men in white dhotis and white shirts with orange shawls, several holding ceremonial items: one carries a folded flag-like cloth, another holds a bundle of straw or grass, and one holds a tall silver trident-topped staff. Behind them, a multicoloured embroidered parasol with tassels and a gold-and-red palanquin canopy stand near an arched gateway. A pale-skinned figure appears partially at the far right in the background. Lit by floodlights, the scene suggests a flag-raising procession preparation.2006-12-20Night procession on a dark open ground with several decorated ceremonial umbrellas in red, gold and teal fabric with tassels held aloft. A man in a saffron-orange wrap and an orange head cloth stands at the front-right, pointing ahead with one hand; an elaborate silver trident is visible at the upper right. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts stand together; one man in a maroon-red shawl and dhoti holds a golden-yellow object, and another in a dark checked shirt carries a stack of white cloth or paper bundles. The scene appears to be a ceremonial temple-related procession. The figure in orange has long hair and a beard and wears saffron clothing and a head cloth; the photo is an appearance-based candidate but not a confident match.2006-12-20A nighttime outdoor procession at a rural site moves along a dirt path. Several men in white dhotis and shirts walk beside colourful fringed parasols in red, yellow and blue patterns, with a man in a red-brown garment at centre. Several men carry trays and offerings, and one carries a folded cloth. At the right, a man in a bright orange robe with a saffron turban is walking in front, and another man wearing an orange shawl over white clothes and holding a rudraksha-style mala stands nearby. Overhead, a tall pole rises into the dark sky.2006-12-20December 20 20062006-12-20Night procession on a dirt path lit at low light, with several men walking under ornate multicolored umbrellas with tasseled edges. In front, a bare-headed man in white dhoti and shirt carries a bundle wrapped in white cloth with yellow decoration. A man in a red silk dhoti and shawl walks beside him. A tall man on the right wears an orange turban, orange robe and a wrap, smiling and walking forward. Behind him, a man in white with an orange shawl holds an umbrella pole, and a bearded man in white with a rudraksha-style necklace follows at the edge. Palm fronds and a lamp stand are visible in the dark background. The scene reads as a temple or festival procession.2006-12-20December 20 20062006-12-20December 20 20062006-12-20Night photo outdoors beneath large dark banyan-type trees with aerial roots.
