Her face is painted silver and she is heavily garlanded with yellow and red flowers, white jasmine strands and green leaves. In the lower right, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with white sacred ash stripes across his chest and a gold turban reaches up to adorn the murti with a garland or flower. In the lower left, the dark stone head and figures of a Shiva lingam or deity murti are partly visible. Gold panels and blue and gold trim frame the shrine. No a person candidate is visible.2016-12-19Photo 11724226December 31 20182018-12-31 +2 copiesA figure in an orange cloth with a leopard-print headband and layered beaded necklaces stands with back to camera before a large statue. The statue is a golden-faced sculpture wearing a brown-and-gold turban, a jewelled gold-and-red robe with beaded collars, and a jewelled belt, adorned with a long garland of red, white and yellow flowers. Behind it is a tall arch of marigolds and roses in yellow, red, white and green, with a golden throne-like structure above. The scene suggests a flower-decorated abhishekam or puja before a murti.2018-12-31 +1 copiesJuly 31 20152015-07-31A man in a rust-red turban and reddish-brown clothing, bare-chested with gold armlets and a long swept-back braid, drapes a thick garland of yellow, orange and red flowers over a golden deity murti. The murti wears a gold crown, gold ornaments and a deep red sari. A lit oil lamp stands in the right foreground beside brass vessels, and marigold and rose decorations fill the background of a temple sanctum.2016-12-14A photo of a temple ritual. A person in an orange-red robe and matching orange turban stands at left, one hand resting on a richly decorated deity murti. The murti is adorned with a large garland of red, yellow, white and green flowers, gold jewellery, a gold necklace and a rudraksha-style bead mala, with a green-jewelled crown. Gold-toned decorative metalwork and a red cloth are visible at right. Only one physical person is visible; the murti is a statue.2014-12-05A photograph of a ritual scene before a large gold-coloured murti of a crowned, moustached figure dressed in ornate gold jewelry, a turban and layered beaded necklaces, framed by dense garlands of yellow, red, white and green flowers. In the foreground a young man in an orange saffron cloth and a leopard-print headband holds a lit oil lamp in one hand and a small brass bell in the other, with rudraksha beads on his arms and chest and white markings on his skin. Audience silhouettes appear at the lower right edge.2018-12-31 +1 copiesDecember 14 20162016-12-14A photograph of a temple ritual in which a man with long dark hair, a rust-orange turban, bare chest, orange shawl and a white flower garland touches the forehead of a gilded deity murti with his right hand. The gold-coloured murti wears a golden crown, a gold necklace and flower garlands of white jasmine and red roses. Behind it stand arches decorated with yellow marigolds, red roses, green leaves and white and blue flower clusters, and a gold-embossed backdrop. Gold bangles circle the man's wrist. A second attendant stands at the left edge. The setting suggests an abhishekam or padapuja-style darshan. Appearance-based cues: long swept-back hair, orange turban and shawl, and gold ornaments; the label is probable, with the role of the man presenting the offering and anointing the deity.2016-12-23
