Each figure wears a tall conical crown, gold necklaces and a dhoti, one green and one pink, holding a rudraksha-like disc and a small fish-shaped object with raised hands, and a long staff. Grey plaster walls are peeling, and a loudspeaker sits above the door beneath a fluorescent tube. No people are visible.2018-04-29Empty interior courtyard of a South Indian temple with blue-painted pillars and a white marble floor. A steep stone staircase with a metal railing rises at left toward a closed yellow grille gate. Smaller blue shrines with painted tops and a tiled roof stand in the open court, with a palm tree and a multicoloured gopuram-style shrine visible at right. Two metal stands sit on the floor, a ceiling fan hangs overhead, and no people are visible.2009-08-08April 29 20182018-04-29A photo of a small open-sided temple shrine under a corrugated metal roof, with a stone platform holding a carved stone shrine canopy and a dark deity murti partly visible behind it. Three people stand on the paved floor: a woman in an orange-red sari with a dark handbag, and two men, one in a dark top and one in a reddish-orange cloth, performing a puja near the shrine with a lamp or offering. Yellow flower garlands hang on a pillar at left, and a white horse figure is visible at the upper left edge. Wet patches mark the stone floor, and blue doors stand behind the shrine.2021-12-28A small turquoise shrine box with yellow-and-red trim and two barred wooden doors, padlocked shut, sits against a red and white striped wall in a covered hall. Inside the grille is a deity murti, and a dark carved item rests on top of the shrine. Two tall dark stone lingams stand to the right, each marked with red and orange tilak spots. Bamboo poles and string support the roof, and paper streamers hang nearby. No people are visible.2012-07-08Exterior view of a South Indian temple courtyard with blue-painted walls and a colourful gopuram-style tier at the top left, decorated with turquoise, pink and gold ornamentation. On the left, a shrine entrance with grilled iron doors stands behind a small stepped platform. In the centre is a blank dark plaque set into a blue wall. On the right, a pink lotus-shaped pedestal supports an open-sided metal enclosure with grilled gates, and a small iron lamp stand stands on the paved floor. A gold railing and palm trees appear above. No people are visible.2009-08-08August 08 20092009-08-08
