A photograph of an initiation moment on a stage. A man with long dark hair, bare-chested and wearing a saffron/orange cloth wrap, reaches up with his right hand to touch the crown of the head of a second man in a white kurta and white dhoti, whose back faces the camera. The seated figure stands before an ornate gilded throne with red cushions and carved golden lion-like details. A dark purple curtain hangs behind, and two small gilded deity murti figures with crowns stand at the right edge. Two physical people are visible.

The seated man sits on a red cushioned throne with gold carved armrests, and a tray of wrapped purple-and-silver sweets sits on a side table beside him. A gold-framed backdrop and a dark curtain fill the background. The seated man has long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and gold beads, which is consistent with the Swamiji (probable) appearance cues, so he is presented as the initiating teacher giving a blessing, while the kneeling devotee receives it.2011-02-20
