A large dark black lingam, the Shiva linga, dominates the frame against a night-black background, its rounded top and lower shaft wet and glistening as if freshly bathed during abhishekam. Silver ornamental bands with engraved patterns and a round silver emblem encircle its middle, and a garland of flowers rests along its base. A metal staircase with railings rises at the right, and two or more people stand on its upper platform near the top of the linga, partly visible at the edge of the light. The scene suggests a night Rudra abhishekam with the linga being ritually bathed.
