At the centre, a decorated deity murti is carried on an ornate golden shrine or palanquin with a red backdrop, draped in orange and white garlands. Many devotees, mostly women in sarees of orange, red, pink and yellow, carry brass trays heaped with bananas and coconuts on their heads. A man in a striped shirt stands at left, and a boy in orange shirt stands at lower right.
