A photograph of a stage event in India with a large banner behind it in Kannada script honouring a religious leader, reading in part a mahamangalotsava-style celebration. A seated figure in an orange-red robe sits on a red-upholstered throne decorated with a large white and pink floral garland and a marigold-flower crown above the chair. Four men in white short-sleeved shirts and dark trousers stand in front of him, with two in the foreground presenting a silver tray of offerings, sweets and flowers. The man at the far right wears a gold wristwatch and a yellow-and-blue rosette badge on his shirt. Other men in white shirts stand at the sides. The seated figure is an in-person candidate whose appearance is not clearly distinctive enough to confirm, so identity is uncertain.
