On a raised green-carpeted stage, a white-robed teacher with a white turban and orange-saffron shawl sits on a white-draped seat before a microphone, with a projected screen behind him showing a large portrait of a smiling long-haired figure in orange. Tall painted banners on both sides show the same smiling long-haired figure in red and orange, with framed smaller portraits on the poles. Banner text reads Nithyananda Spurana Program NSP training at Paavai Kalvi Niruvanangal, Pachal, dated 14-9-06 to 17-9-06. The crowd is far larger than the 100+ threshold would suggest only if fully visible; dense rows extend across the frame, so the count is best given as a range.2006-09-14A large crowd of students in white shirts and light clothing sits on the ground facing a stage at an indoor-outdoor pavilion.
