A large seated congregation of several hundred men fills a hall during a Shuddhadvaitam initiation at Ujjain. Most wear white dhotis and white kurtas with saffron-orange shawls draped over their shoulders and rudraksha malas around their necks, and many sit with eyes closed in meditation. Some attendees in front wear blue or plain shirts, and a few hold small paper badges on lanyards. The floor is covered with colourful mats, and a bright stage area with banners and hanging drapes is visible at the far end. Nobody in the image is identifiable as a person; the scene shows only seated initiates and attendees.
