A photograph of an outdoor fire pit built from square grey paving bricks laid in a square frame on a paved surface, with logs burning in the centre and a dark round offering or coconut-like object resting among the flames. Several bare feet and partial legs of people in white and yellow clothing stand around the edge at the top of the frame. Strong sunlight casts shadows across the pavement. A white-draped table with a silver tray stands to the right of the pit.

March 29 20132013-03-29A brick-lined fire pit blazes at the centre, flames rising from burning wood and offerings. Marigold and red flower petals are scattered over the bricks. Behind it, a partially visible person in white dhoti and a wristwatch reaches toward the fire, holding an object. On the right stands a low table draped with a yellow and red floral cloth, bearing green coconuts, an orange fruit, and a brass plate of offerings. Striped cloths cover the floor on the left, with a bowl of grains at the lower left. This appears to be a homa or yagna fire ritual.2017-06-23Close-up of a square fire pit built from pale brick and stone blocks, with a bright open flame burning in the centre. No people are visible; the scene suggests a homa or yagna fire ritual.2007-10-18A square yellow-painted fire pit lined with red brick holds a burning bundle of straw and kindling, with ash and charred offerings around it. A priest in white dhoti with a gold-bordered cloth sits at the left edge, his hand and bangled wrist visible beside brass and copper kalasha vessels, flower petals and oil lamps. This appears to be a homa or yagna fire ritual. Scattered white grains, coconut-like pieces and ash surround the fire. A silver bowl of white material sits at the top left, with a brass lamp and small metal vessels nearby. Partial figures in red-orange and gold-bordered white garments sit at the edges, and a silver elephant-shaped vessel appears at the left. This appears to be a Ganapathy homa ritual setting, with no clearly visible face identifiable as a candidate for a person.2014-10-11July 04 20132013-07-04April 14 20182018-04-14A photograph of a homa fire pit, a square brick-lined trench with white-painted rims decorated with yellow marigold petals.
