Photo of storm-damaged woodland after a cyclone. Several large palm and tree trunks lie fallen across muddy ground, one with exposed roots at left. Two men stand beside a green engine-driven water pump on a small trolley, with plastic jerrycans and a cloth bundle on the ground. Two motorcycles are parked at left and right, and a red plastic chair sits near the right. Grey overcast sky and bare trees fill the background.

Tall coconut palms and other trees stand behind, with motorcycles and a silver car parked at right. A single man in white clothing walks along the dirt shoulder near the parked vehicles. Makeshift shelters or tents with orange fabric appear in the background. The scene suggests cyclone aftermath clean-up.2012-01-04January 04 20122012-01-04Outdoor photograph of storm damage on a rural road after a cyclone. Two yellow JCB backhoe loaders are parked on the dirt road, and several men in lungis and shirts stand or walk near them, clearing debris. Large trees lean and are broken, with palm fronds scattered. Parked motorcycles and a white car sit at the left edge, and a man in a white shirt and checked lungi stands at right holding a folded cloth. Cloudy sky above.2012-01-04A damaged mud-walled hut with a collapsed thatched roof stands beside tall palm trees on a dirt road after a cyclone. Debris of broken palm fronds, branches and torn tarpaulins lies in front of the house, with a blue tarp draped over part of the roof. A man in a light shirt and sarong walks on the road in the background, and a motorcycle is parked nearby. Utility poles and a damaged shed are visible on the right.2012-01-07A photograph of storm-damaged farmland after a cyclone. Fallen trees and a stacked pile of uprooted branches and logs sit on the left, while a bare tree and tall palms lean across a grassy field. A muddy path cuts through flattened green vegetation toward a high-tension electricity pylon. In the foreground, an elderly man with white hair wears a white dhoti and shirt and walks through shallow standing water. Behind him, several people in white clothing, one in a green cap, stand together along the cleared track, apparently surveying or working. A wet, overcast sky sits above. Most wear white shirts and white dhotis or grey trousers, while one man in a blue lungi and striped shirt and another in a pink shirt face the group. A shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron robe and grey trousers stands among them at the centre-left, appearing to be a monastic figure, with appearance cues that are not distinctive enough to confirm identity. Scattered corrugated sheets and a broken chair lie nearby.2012-01-03January 03 20122012-01-03January 06 20122012-01-06
