Outdoor scene at night beneath a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. Six men stand in a loose group. On the left a man in white shirt and white dhoti holds a coiled rope of dried grass. Next to him a man in a maroon checked shirt holds two long rolled cloths. A man in white dhoti and grey shirt holds a white bundle, and a man in a red silk garment holds a yellow cloth bundle. Another man in a green shirt holds a yellow cloth at right. On the far right a figure in a saffron-orange robe and saffron head wrap, with long swept-back dark hair, gestures with raised hand while speaking to the group. The saffron figure has distinctive long hair and saffron head covering, so this appearance is a person candidate present in person. Items appear to be ritual materials being presented.
