A puja at an altar before a seated deity murti of Meenakshi, adorned with a crown, pearl and bead necklaces, and a pink and green sari, with a gold ceremonial umbrella overhead. Two men in rust-red and maroon garments stand facing it: the one on the left has long dreadlocked hair, a flower garland and gold bangles, and holds a ritual vessel; the one on the right wears a red turban and bare-shouldered red cloth and holds a small object. Brass oil lamps, a silver tray with offerings, lemons, bowls and a garland-draped backdrop surround the altar, and a gold statue stands behind. A stage backdrop shows a starry pink sky.
