A figure in an orange saffron robe stands with back to the camera before a stone shrine hung with marigold garlands and gold ornamental lamps. Inside the shrine sit a pair of deity murtis, one wearing a crown and holding a trident-like staff, the other in a pink draped garment, with a blue-skinned figure in front. Brass oil lamps and a silver plate sit on the stone platform, and carved stone pillars frame the scene with red curtains at the right. The figure appears to be a sannyasi or devotee performing puja; their face is not visible, so their identity is not established.2010-10-22October 22 20142014-10-22 +1 copiesA man in saffron-orange robes stands with his back partly to the camera, facing a stone shrine. Inside the arched, gold-trimmed shrine are carved and painted deity murtis, one with a crown and multiple arms holding weapons, draped in pink fabric and garlanded with marigold and purple flower garlands. Brass oil lamps stand on the granite platform, with small brass vessels and offerings in front. Red and orange curtains hang beside the shrine under an open-air temple pavilion with striped red-and-white walls. The scene suggests puja or darshan at a temple shrine.2010-10-21October 21 20102010-10-21A temple shrine with a golden arch framing a deity murti adorned with orange and yellow garlands, set against a magenta and blue draped backdrop. In the foreground, a man seen from behind with long dark hair wears an orange sannyasi cloth and stands at the granite shrine platform. Brass lamps, vessels and a seated figure in orange robes with a white cloth are placed before the deity. Granite carved pillars and a red-and-orange fabric hang at the sides of the open pavilion.2011-02-13October 22 20102010-10-22A photograph inside a stone-pillared temple shrine. A man with shoulder-length dark hair, bare-armed and wearing a saffron-orange sannyasi wrap, stands at the right facing the deity platform and looks up at the murtis. Two deity figures are dressed and garlanded with yellow and purple flower garlands; the left figure holds a trident and a crowned figure sits at centre. Brass oil lamps stand on the granite platform along with brass vessels, a plate of offerings and fruit. Red curtains hang at the open side and carved granite pillars frame the scene.2010-10-21October 23 20102010-10-23A photograph of a temple shrine with a standing person in an orange saffron garment and a white flower garland, hands joined in front of the chest as if in prayer, facing the shrine. The shrine holds a large deity murti pair with a figure wearing a red crown and holding a trident and a standing female figure in pink-and-red garments, both draped in marigold and multicoloured flower garlands. Below them is a small blue deity figure, and brass oil lamps, a kalasha and small offering vessels sit on the stone platform. Grey carved stone pillars frame the shrine, with a red-and-white striped wall behind it and green trees beyond. A person in saffron clothing is seen from behind, so the figure is a devotee or sannyasi and no identification is made.2010-09-15A photograph of a devotee in orange robes standing at a granite shrine platform, facing an altar with a gilded arched niche. Within the niche are deity murtis, a pair of standing figures in red and blue garments, decorated with flower garlands and marigold strings. Red cloth hangs at the sides of the pavilion, and carved stone pillars and panels frame the scene, with trees behind. The devotee, seen from behind, has long dark hair and offers a gesture toward the altar. Two statues with garlands sit in front of the deities.2008-08-07October 23 20102010-10-23November 18 20102010-11-18 +2 copies
