A seated audience of many older men in white and pale shirts fills the foreground, viewed from behind. At the front, a man in a white dhoti and white shirt stands at the right, gesturing toward the crowd. Behind him, a man in a saffron and orange shawl sits on a chair beside a woman in a purple sari. Blurred figures move at the right edge.

The people around him sit on green plastic chairs in a circle; many wear white dhotis and white shirts, and several wear orange-saffron shawls or scarves. Behind them, orange cloth draped over a ledge displays framed portraits and a small golden deity murti sits on a red-cushioned throne-like seat at the left. A black speaker stands on a stand near a blue door. The setting suggests a satsang-style gathering, with the standing speaker in a sannyasi's ochre garb. Roughly two dozen people are visible.2012-05-20A indoor hall with a seated audience of men in white ritual clothes sitting on white sheets on the floor, many with bare feet. On the stage a seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate red-and-gold throne, with garlands and floral decorations around the stage. A standing man in white clothes holds a microphone at the left side of the stage, and another standing figure in white is nearby. A banner above the stage reads in Tamil script; the stage is framed by a colourful festoon arch and a blue-and-green backdrop. The seated figure wears saffron clothing and appears to be the central honoured figure, but facial and presentation cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2002-07-07 +2 copiesArticle - November 26 20062006-11-26Article - November 26 20062006-11-26Article - November 26 20062006-11-26
