September 27 20172017-09-27Outdoor ritual at a dug earthen pit beside orange-painted corrugated buildings. A man in a long-sleeved orange-red jacket and rust-orange dhoti, with long dark hair and a full beard, stands at right ringing a silver handbell and holding a small brass lamp with a flame. Beside him, a bare-chested assistant in an orange dhoti holds a tall yellow-shafted umbrella with a multicoloured fringed canopy over the pit. Another assistant in an orange cloth and beaded necklaces stands with hands folded in prayer, and a white-clad man in a cream dhoti with gold border stands at left. A pile of white and red flowers and a white cloth bundle with leaves rest on the freshly poured concrete slab. Onlookers stand behind the wall.2016-12-31 +1 copiesAugust 09 20072007-08-09Outdoor photo on a grassy plot beside a concrete block wall, with coconut palms and bushes behind. A man in a white dhoti with gold border and a bare upper body, holding a red-and-multicoloured parasol with tassels over the group. Beside him, a long-haired, bearded man in a rust-red wrap and rudraksha mala walks with arms bent, and two bearded men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas follow; the one at right raises an arm toward palm fronds. The group appears to be walking in procession across the site.2018-05-10February 04 20172017-02-04 +1 copiesOutdoor scene beside a grey concrete block wall overgrown with green vines and palm trees, with patchy grass and a dirt path in the foreground. A man in a white collared shirt and dark trousers, carrying a small device and a shoulder bag, stands at the left. Beside him, a bearded man with long dreadlocked hair wears an orange-saffron dhoti-style garment and rudraksha beads, holding a small white object. A bare-chested man with long dark dreadlocks wears an orange-red wrap and holds a small white item. On the right, a man in a white dhoti with gold borders holds a red and multicoloured parasol with pompoms over a bearded man with long dreadlocks wearing orange robes and a rudraksha mala. Several people stand in a line with a person figure among them: the bare-chested dreadlocked man in orange wrap with distinctive long hair and rudraksha adornment is a candidate, though appearance is uncertain.2018-05-10May 10 20182018-05-10 +1 copiesA long-haired man in a rust-orange sannyasi robe walks outdoors beside a palm-lined field, holding a tall silver-toned staff that supports a red and blue ceremonial parasol with pom-pom fringe. A bearded man in orange stands behind him. Behind them is a pale concrete wall and overgrown grass with scrubby bushes. A partially visible person in orange cloth stands at the right edge. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired man in rust-orange robes carrying the parasol has long dark dreadlocks, a bare upper chest with a light marking, and red wrist thread, which fit the appearance cues of the page subject; he is shown walking as a figure of honour under the parasol.2018-05-10Outdoor ritual at a samadhi-style mound of fresh earth beside orange-brown container buildings. A man with long dark hair and a full beard, wearing an orange-red fleece jacket and orange dhoti, rings a handbell and holds a small ritual object. Behind him, three men in orange or ochre dhotis and rudraksha malas stand; one holds a tall gold-shafted umbrella with a colourful fringed canopy above the mound, another has hands folded in prayer, and a fourth stands in white dhoti and shawl with a mala. Flower garlands, green leaves and a white cloth bundle rest on the mound. Several people watch from behind in the background.2016-12-31 +1 copiesJuly 01 20142014-07-01A photograph of a group of sannyasis in saffron-orange robes standing and sitting on colourful striped mats in an open-sided pavilion with a red metal roof. Several men have long matted hair and rudraksha malas; a bald elderly man in the centre wears an orange turban and holds a stick. Men in white dhotis and rudraksha malas stand at the right, some holding wooden sticks. A kolam rangoli with white powder designs lies on the ground at lower right. Trees and a stone wall are visible behind. No person is clearly identifiable as a person by appearance.2018-01-14January 22 20102010-01-22
