A large seated congregation fills a covered hall on a colourful striped rug. Most men wear white dhotis and white kurtas with orange-red shawls draped over their shoulders, and many have lanyards around their necks. Some have sandalwood or vibhuti marks on their foreheads. Several sit cross-legged facing forward toward a raised dais at the back, where a golden seat or throne and a deity murti are visible. A woman in white sits among them. Behind the crowd, a table holds ritual items and an arrangement of flowers. People are seated in rows, some looking down, some with eyes closed. Red and orange cloth decorates the back of the hall.
