Photograph of a dimly lit stage at a Maha Shivaratri event. Several people in white dhotis and white clothing stand around a central figure in a red-and-blue striped garment with a red turban, who is seated near a small altar-like area. A woman in a red blouse and white sari stands in the centre-right, with other women in white saris and a child in green nearby. White draped cloth forms a canopy behind the group, and on the right an ornate silver-framed deity murti is decorated with flower garlands in red, yellow and green. Green plants line the foreground of the stage, and stage lights hang overhead.
